FLORActiv is a combination of nutrients whose synergistic effect supports the proper nutrition of enterocytes (cells of the small intestine), their regeneration and restoration/maintenance of the proper microflora of the gastrointestinal tract. In addition, the product supports the immune system and protects against oxidative stress occurring in the disease process.
Active substances in the product:
L-glutamine – is an endogenous amino acid that is the basic source of energy for enterocytes. During the weakening of organism, it supports the rapid regeneration of the gastrointestinal epithelium, which allows its proper functioning. It stimulates the synthesis of Ig A (local immunity) and the production of B and T lymphocytes (systemic immunity). The maximum absorption and utilization of glutamine by epithelial cells occurs within a few hours of their damage. This amino acid promotes the absorption and utilization of glucose and sodium ions from the intestinal lumen.
Inulin – a prebiotic, a fraction of soluble dietary fiber that affects the growth of beneficial intestinal microflora, especially stimulates the growth of the Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium genus bacterias. The acid metabolites of beneficial microflora prevent the growth of potentially pathogenic bacteria.
Oligofructose – belongs to the soluble fraction of dietary fiber, which has a positive effect on intestinal microbiota and the work of the digestive tract. Effectively protects the body against the development of adverse bacteria and supports the multiplication of beneficial bacteria of the genus Bifidobacterium. Oligofructose through the ability to bind water increases the feeling of satiety.
Vitamin A – is needed for the growth and regeneration of gastrointestinal cells, strengthens immunity, participating in the maturation and differentiation of immune cells, i.e. monocytes, lymphocytes and neutrophils. Its deficiency significantly weakens the phagocytic activity of macrophages.
Green tea extract (Epigallocatechin gallate) – has strong antioxidant activity. By increasing the number of T lymphocytes, improves the functioning of the immune system.
Zinc (in the form of amino acid chelate) – strengthens the immune system and accelerates the process of regeneration of the gastrointestinal epithelium. The stimulating effect of zinc is used in pathological conditions of the gastrointestinal tract.
