HemoActiv is a product for adult and growing dogs and cats, which is designed to support proper nutrition of individuals exposed to iron deficiency.
Hemoactiv provides iron, vitamin C, group B vitamins, L-carnitine and L-arginine. Each of the ingredients contained in the product has a specific role:
Iron – an important mineral that is involved in the production of red blood cells, strengthens the immune and nervous systems. Its primary function is as the structure of hemoglobin and myoglobin particles, which are responsible for oxygen transport.
Complex of group B vitamins – they are necessary in hematopoietic processes, during the iron deficiency prevention.
L-carnitine – amino acid responsible for the metabolism of long chain fatty acids and energy production. The myocardium contains as much as 95% of the entire carnitine pool in the animal’s body, which clearly demonstrates its role in the production of energy necessary for the continuous work of the contracting heart muscle. L-carnitine deficiency in dogs is correlated with the occurrence of dilated cardiomyopathy, and its addition may protect myocardial cells against abnormal accumulation of fatty acids inside myocardial cells.
L-arginine – restores the proper course of nitric oxide synthesis and supports blood flow through the capillaries, thus it is a factor that improves heart function.
Vitamin C – supports the absorption of iron.
